I first encountered acupuncture in 1991 when a bronchial issue I had refused to resolve itself even with antibiotics. Being wary of getting hooked on bronchodilators, I decided to try acupuncture instead. To my surprise the treatment worked beautifully. Soon after that, two seemingly unrelated interests, one in alternative medicine and the other in Eastern philosophy, became a singular passion. I went back to graduate school and haven’t looked back.

As a NCCAOM Licensed acupuncturist since 1995, I have worked in boutique clinics (New York Center for Pain Management) as well as in hospital settings such as the Immunity wing of South Shore Hospital. In 1996 I trained in the Acupuncture Detoxification protocol at the famed Lincoln Hospital. Since then, in my private practice I have seen hundreds of people letting go of unwanted cravings and addictions. My specialties include pain management, stress/emotional issues, facial rejuvenation, and digestive problems.

I started Blue Phoenix Acupuncture with the intent of helping people improve their quality of life. As a strong believer in the body’s own capacity for healing naturally, I consider it a privilege to travel with my patients on their road to a healthy, balanced and serene life.
